Our Community - Inclusion and Safety
Our Commitment to Safety
The wellbeing and safety of children, families and staff is central to everything we do. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where children can learn, participate and thrive.
Child Safety
We believe every child has the right to feel safe, respected and valued. We are committed to promoting the wellbeing of all children and maintaining an environment that is free from abuse, discrimination, harassment and bullying.
Children are encouraged to express their ideas, make choices and participate actively in their learning. Parents or carers remain responsible for supervising their children while attending classes unless otherwise arranged.
Inclusion and Respect
We welcome children and families from all backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive community where diversity is respected and celebrated. We are committed to ensuring that all children are treated with dignity and provided with opportunities to participate and succeed.
Staff Screening and Training
All staff undergo appropriate screening and reference checks and hold the required Working with Children Check or equivalent clearance. Staff receive ongoing training and are expected to uphold our child safety policies and professional standards at all times.
Health and Hygiene
To help maintain a healthy learning environment, children, parents, carers and staff who are unwell should not attend classes. Shared equipment and teaching materials are regularly cleaned, and we work to keep our learning spaces clean and well maintained.
Reporting Concerns
Any concerns relating to child safety, wellbeing or inappropriate conduct are taken seriously. Concerns can be raised by contacting Lucy Adeney, Penny Adeney or Linda Kops on 9557 4017, or by completing this form here: https://villamusica.typeform.com/complaints
Risk Management
We regularly review our facilities, equipment and teaching practices to identify and minimise risks. Safety procedures, venue assessments and routine checks help ensure a safe environment for everyone attending our programs.
